Sam Westwood

Sam Westwood is a technology entrepreneur and operator with a deep background in wireless connectivity, software engineering, and company building. As COO of RSRF and Waveform, he oversees all operational aspects of the business, including regulatory compliance across local, state, and federal requirements, the Network Operations Center, and the nationwide deployment teams that execute RSRF's DAS installations.

Sam co-founded Waveform in 2007 alongside CEO Sina Khanifar, starting on the consumer side by retailing cellular repeaters before expanding into fixed wireless with the company's own line of antennas. Under the RSRF brand, the business moved into B2B services in 2016 and has since grown into a leading provider of in-building DAS installations, with a focus on large commercial and enterprise buildings exceeding 100,000 square feet.

In 2011, Sam co-founded OpenSignal, the crowdsourced mobile network analytics platform. Serving as VP of Engineering for a decade, he built and scaled the software team behind some of the industry's most widely used real-world network insights, trusted by mobile operators globally. OpenSignal was successfully acquired in 2021, after which Sam returned to Waveform full time to help drive its continued growth and expansion.

Sam holds a BA in Physics from the University of Oxford (2006).
