Talk to a Signal ArchitectCEO
B.Sc. Physics, Oxford University
Sina Khanifar is an entrepreneur, technologist, and digital rights activist with nearly two decades of experience at the intersection of wireless connectivity and public policy. He is the CEO of both RSRF and Waveform, two companies united by a single mission: reliable connectivity, anywhere.
At RSRF, he leads the nation's premier turnkey in-building cellular solutions provider, specializing in enterprise-grade Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and neutral-host deployments, from initial design through installation, carrier coordination, and long-term network operations. At Waveform, he oversees the development and sale of hardware that helps consumers and businesses get stronger 5G signal.
Beyond his operating roles, Sina is deeply engaged in the broader technology and policy ecosystem. He is a Technology Fellow at the Electronic Frontier Foundation and serves on the board of Repair.org, the leading advocacy organization for the right to repair. He is also co-founder and advisor to OpenSignal, a pioneering crowdsourced mobile analytics platform, and an occasional investor in early-stage startups.
Earlier in his career, Sina was a prominent digital rights activist, most notably leading the successful campaign to make cell phone unlocking legal in the United States. He founded Taskforce.is, a volunteer organization of over 100 contributors building tools to make technology advocacy more accessible, and FixtheDMCA.org, an activism hub focused on reforming Section 1201 of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. That work earned him the 2013 IP3 Intellectual Property Award.
Sina holds a BA in Physics from the University of Oxford (2006).
